Peggy highly recommends this lead: “I find using the chain lead, woven over the nose band and attached to the offside, is a very supportive training aid helping horses to release at the poll when they have been stuck in this area for some time. This allows the handler to stay light with their contact especially when working with a 'heavy' horse or a horse having difficulty in their walk to halt transition. It is ideal to use the chain lead any time extra support is necessary when doing the Connected Groundwork exercises that help the horse to release his head and neck downward. This lead does not work as effectively with a rope halter. Burgundy is shown in the picture.
